Are you wondering Weider your Kia Forte engine have timing belt or chain?

All 2018 Kia Forte engines have a timing chain and are interference. However, from 2010 model to 2022 engine 2.0L I-4 comes with timing chain.

Both feature Kia’s distinctive family grille. The Forte is available in three trims; LX, S, EX and SX (hatchback only). The LX and S use a 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a six-speed manual, or an available six-speed automatic transmission. (Drivetrainfront-wheel).

Rotate the crankshaft clockwise and align the timing mark to get the No. 1 cylinder’s piston be in TDC position.

Then use the image to set the camshaft timing.
